QUESTION:Now i got the job i wanted, but some of my colleagues complaints a lot about my attitude to work and my manner of approach to staff. What should i do?
ANSWER: Office and work environment is a different institution all together, you need to learn job ethics, companies rules and regulations and align your character to meet professional standard. If you have worked hard to secure a job, you should equally work hard to keep it. Hundreds of thousand of people are looking for that job you are toiling with.
The following must be kept in mind to keep your job:
  • Learn your job properly at least for the first six months of your employment.
  • Know who you are reporting to and ensure your report meet the deadline of your supervisors.
  • Learn to tolerate your colleagues.
  • Be prompt in the office and do your job as at when due.
  • Build a strong relationship between your direct supervisors, other supervisors and general staff.
  •  Be a team player                                                                                                        Note: If you leave the organization you presently work with what will be said of you by your colleagues and supervisors.
