FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Over time research carried out showed that about 85 percent of an average African diet is carbohydrate. In Europe, America and some other developed countries survey carried out showed that about 55 percent of their diet is fruits and vegetables. Some African argued that we live in a tropical region and the technology for preserving fruit and vegetables is low compared to a developed countries, they further argued that their weather is friendly and the presence of electricity is 100 percent. Yet another research was carried out in African region and the result indicated that African region have moved up to about 45 percent in technology so the excuse for not preserving our fruits or not eating fruits and vegetables should be ignored. Fruits and vegetable complement our daily food intake. Water is a lubricant for proper and effective digestion. We should get used to taking tablet food supplement when nature has made provision for natural fruits.
Medical experts recommendation for daily food intake:
  •  Food =  50 percent
  •  Fruits and Vegetables= 30 Percent                     TOTAL= 100%
